Junior or Mid-level Django Developer

We are seeking a Junior to Mid-level Django Developer who is enthusiastic about building robust and scalable web applications from the ground up. In this role, you will be a key member of our development team, working directly on the core of our product. Your primary focus will be on developing server-side logic, defining and maintaining databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

What your role will look like in action:

build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code
develop and implement back-end components and services using Django and Django REST Framework
design and manage database schemas (we use PostgreSQL) that are scalable and performant
write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security
participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality
contribute to architectural and design discussions for new features and services
troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues and improve performance

You can succeed in this role if you meet our must-haves:

have 1-3+ years of professional experience in back-end web development
solid experience with Python and the Django framework
proficiency with Django REST Framework for building robust APIs
good understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and experience with ORMs (Django ORM)
familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
a strong desire to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about performance and scalability
strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

We'd be extra thrilled if you have:

experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
knowledge of asynchronous task queues like Celery with Redis or RabbitMQ
familiarity with front-end technologies (Flutter)
experience with CI/CD pipelines
understanding of software security principles
