Blocked screens, encrypted data, and frustration… You’ve probably heard about hackers making managers and IT support lose their mind. This word has certainly gained a lot of bad fame over the years, but this next event will prove that hacking will actually save your life instead of making it difficult.

Important projects, a 12-hour hacking session, and winning a race within two days of Hackathon

On February 16th-18th on Nürburgring, Germany a groundbreaking event has taken place: The EmergencyEye® Hackathon am Ring. This event has attracted more than 100 hackers, business professionals, and designers as well as new businesses.

The aim for the teams was to create prototypes around emergency case management via remote access to smartphones during Emergency Situations to improve communication, information and decision making.

Liki was present on the spot as a Mentor and a creator of the platform – RAMSES (Remote Access to Medical Information on Smartphones during Emergencies and Health CriseS). We are proud to be one of the partners in developing this technology along with Nofer Institute in Lodz, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and others.

Not only we had great experiences on this event, we will be able to double the fun with the next Hackathon – on the 24th-25th of March. But first – here are some highlights from the first edition of this event:

We have listened to very inspiring key notes and ideas

Tried to inspire, ourselves

Off to hacking the night away – the hacking session lasted about 12 hours!

After this challenge, we took a bit of time to relax by racing on the phenomenal Nuerburgring. In fact, we have won a Gokart ride!

Expect even more on the next edition on 24th and 25th of March

We would like to congratulate the teams that won the first edition’s challenge with their amazing solutions. We are curious and excited about challenge nr 2: App Development where teams will prototype a fully operational app with situational Ux. The app transmits GPS location audio and video to an Emergency Call Centre and allows remote control of speaker and flashlight by the dispatcher.

Furthermore, this time on the first day of Hackathon there is going to be a direct view to the finish line of the first race of the year VLN 1 2018. You will be able to attend the start of VLN Endurance Championships Nürburgring, so be ready to get instantly infected with the VLN-fever!

Catch us on Hackathon in Nürburgring, Germany on March 24th-25th where we will be present as a Mentor, networking and meeting all of you hackers, businessmen and guests! See you there!
